Coverboy Mike!
Mike Taylor is the coverboy on the latest issue of
Dig. Also, in issue 58 you can see Mike's Meat the Streets article. Here is a good quote about him from the Dig site,
"Warrington, England's Mike Taylor might be the easiest BMXer to interview in the history of BMX. Within a month, he delivered ten pages of bangers and prompt responses to his interview questions. (In a word, he gets it...)"
Events this weekend!
Karl Poynter's shop,
Hardcore Sportz, is having a videopremier this Friday in Newcastle, so check it out if you are in the area.

One of my favorite parks
Sixth Avenue is having a contest this Friday and Saturday!

The Twilight Jam is held in my former winter residence of Athens, Georga. This 4th annual event happens during one of the biggest road bike events in Georgia, so if you go expect to see a lot of spandex. The contest should be fun and Athens is always a great time!
Some Bike Checks!
There is nothing more motivating then when riders that you respect want to ride your stuff.
Chris Arriaga and
Ben Hucke are both on Sunday frames and their bikes are picture below. Chris has been a long time friend and a great rider as well as former teammate, so for him to want to ride a Sunday is awesome. Although I have never met Ben face to face, I have witness him ride many a time at the Vancouver Metro Jams. So again, for someone who rides that well to want to ride a Sunday is an honor.

Las Vegas Pool Session!
Kurt sent me these pics of his friends and himself on a trip to Ride Vegas a few weeks ago. Most of their time was spent searching high and low for new pools to ride. The pool in the picture is pretty cool. I almost seems like a normal rectangle pool, but the back wall is actually angled giving the pool a super tight under 90° corner.

Kurt, corner air in a less than 90° corner. Tight! Click for larger version.

Mini Team Update!
Karl Poyner got 14th at the
JOMO Pro in Joplin, Missouri this weekend and ended up getting a nice
photo on
BMXONLINE. There is also some
clips of him during the best trick contest which coincidently is also on Bmxonline.
Ian Schwartz has been figting with a broken wrist for the better part of a year now. He had a cast on for a few months last summer, but it didn't work. He was suppose to get surgery this month, but decided to put it off until the fall. Summer is almost here and I don't blame him for wanting to miss it. This picture shows Ian with a non-wrist related injury which was taken during the
Padded Cell trip last September!

Lucero in Buffalo
One of BMX's favorite bands,
Lucero, played the
Mohawk Place in
Buffalo last night. It was a much anticipated show around here and they didn't disappoint one bit! From the moment the show started you could tell it was going to be good. They were energetic, dynamic, creative and adaptive. If you ever get a chance to see them live you won't want to miss it. They are one of the best live bands I have ever seen. Plus you might just get to see two girls making out in the front row like in the right photo below. My phone takes poor photos!
Ben, a Buffalo Bills hat and the girl with the weird tattoo is making out with another girl.
