Interbike was actually a lot of fun this year, shown above is the Sunday booth. It was made of different colored stained plywood. Really simple and it made for something unique especially since the other two ideas were already done. Below is the backside of the booth with the Sunday Tag Wall, well that's atleast what it turned into. Check out all the Give D tags which had a 'booth' right behind Sunday. More Interbike updates later.
It is late and we just made it to California after a week in Las Vegas for Interbike 2007. The week was great and so were the people. I have a lot to bring all of you but I still need to sort through the photos. Here is a video to keep your appetites fed of me explaining what we have coming up next. More soon!
Glad to hear you like the new site. Cursor around the page, there are lots of things to click on.
Welcome to the launch of the new Sunday! Bikes website! The launch just so happens to coincide with Interbike 2007 which starts Wednesday in Las Vegas. If you're coming out, look for Sunday's very first booth somewhere in the BMX section.
I showed up early with Ian Schwartz and Karl Poynter coming in tomorrow. Vinnie Sammon tried to show up today, but he was actually a day early. He got already, drove to the airport and was told his flight wasn't until tomorrow. What are you gonna do, right? Kurt Rasmusson is coming out on Wednesday, so there will be a good portion of the team at the show. Look for more updates from Interbike this week along with a whole bunch more this year. take care, jim
That's correct Kurt Rasmusson has been nominated for the NORA Cup Video Part of the Year for his very memorable section in Left/Right. If you haven't gotten a chance to see that video yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. Congrats Kurt and good luck!
Web videos seem like a dime a dozen these days. Mediocre videos, poor quality and poor filming are the norm on youtube and myspace, so why not here too. This is Sunday's contribution to the world of videos and tricks that will be completely forgotten 10 minutes after you watch them. I'm a little jaded on the straight to web videos, I just long for the days of sitting in front of a tv rewinding a VCR tape over and over again. Look for more web footage soon, oh and maybe a real video too!
Oh I guess I should tell you what's going on in this one. Ian Schwartz and Steven Savage were in town for a few days while Lee Dennis, Greg Henry and some other Canadians came down to ride the Sunday warehouse.
First things first, Karl Poynter has interview over on woozybmx. You can learn his middle name, see him jump way over a fire hydrant and be flipped off by his t-shirt, all in one interview! Some other tid bits about Karl is that he recently spend 6 hours trying one trick! Karl definitely doesn't have ADD.
So if you missed the Tuff Luv show a few weeks back, you will get another chance. The show is appearing at Interbike next week and coincidently right by the Sunday booth. The mag with the flies on it will be Sunday's!
Lee Dennis made another trip to Home Depot and bought some more paint. This is probably Lee's 5th paint job this year. He's probably just getting ready for his trip down to North Carolina this weekend to film with Ian Schwartz and Steven Savage for the Sunday video.
Okay so it's been a week or so since my last update, I've been busy with Interbike, the shop, filming and actually just riding without cameras nearby. Some team news first, Joe Cox spent four hours in the hospital due to a broken hand. He was doing a rail hop from a grind and it didn't go quite as planned. He'll be healed up in 2 weeks and off to Barcelona to film for the Sunday video a week later. Heal up quick Joe!
I've got a bunch of history photos that Jeff Z took on BMXonline. Scroll down and look for the From the Archives-Kink photos dated September 6th! The photo on the left is from 2001 of me fufanuing an 8ft dirty snow bank. Check out the article and see photos of Rob Tibbs, Chris Arriaga and Ryan Sher!
Check out Eric L's complete Sunday kit! If you've seen Left Right then you've seen Eric ride. Last montage section, he does a crankslides down a cement ledge, long pegless 5050 grinds and oh the crankslide on the rail with the terrible run up at UCI. Bike looks good, huh?
You can almost check out Steven Kennedy's Sunday, but he is trying to eat it in this photo. Steven's from San Diego and part of the Give D crew. They recently did a web video for Defgrip so check that out here!
Triumph bars are completely back in stock! Black bars have been out for a bit, but now they are available. Also, the new limited edition green UK Triumph bars are available, click the photo to see an up close shot.
