Did you know that the Primer 18 Complete bike has the shortest chain stay length of all other 18″ BMX bikes on the market today? It’s chain stay measures 11.75″ which is 0.5-1.5″ shorter than all the other brands. This is a HUGE difference to a 10-13 year old.
The chain stay length is measured from the center of the crank spindle to the center of the axle of the rear wheel. This isn’t a standardize measurement and can vary greatly from brand to brand. Over the past 10 years, the lengths have been getting shorter and shorter on 20″ BMX bikes. The short chain stay length makes it easier to lift the front end when jumping and bunnyhopping. A bike that is more maneuverable is more fun and easier to learn on. Choose Wisely!
There’s not many riders out there like Alex Magallan. He’s fast, stylish, but is still tech as well. Five years ago, he was on the icepick 180 game which is where most people are these days. Kaden Stone and Ryan Slusher went on the Lil Pros BMX Tour over the weekend in Southern California and this is the first video from the trip. It’s really great seeing rad young kids getting help from the current generation of pro riders. The funniest part is all the kids pushing the wheelbarrow when they ride trails.
We’ve been supporting Kaden and Ryan for a few years now. In the video, Kaden rides the16″ Safety Green Primer 16 and Ryan is riding the 2013 Primer Jr. Both guys will be jumping up to the 2014 Primer 18 very soon.

It really seems like younger and younger kids are getting into BMX these days. Our own, Kaden Stone, has been shredding for years and he is only 10 years old.
