Sunday TA?

The 80’s are like back!  Here is Full Factory‘s head honcho, Bobby Parker‘s brand new white Sunday Third Wave!  If you didn’t know, Full Factory is Sunday’s distributor in the USA. Just throw some white mags on there and this would easily be found blasting Pipeline Skatepark back in 1986!  Follow this LINK to see his full bike check!  Totally gnarly!

One footed X-up with Tammy!

Tammy “teaches” you how to do a one footed X-up over on the Ride BMX site.

Mega Model-C?

Check this out!  Jim Bauer jumping the new Woodward Mega Ramp on his Model C!  I do believe this is a first for a Model C.  From my experience, I would rather jump that far on a 24″ than a 20″ due to it being way more stable.  The cool thing about this set up is that you can test jump it by jumping increments at a time.  Actually jumping 25ft as a test jump would be really scary!  So sick!  Nice work Jim!  And nice work Jeff Z who shot this photo!

Sunday Friends: William Palmer

This edition of Sunday Friends is an amazing one!  William Palmer is a huge fan of Sunday and it shows will all his Aaron Ross Funday collection.  There’s some classic colors in here: Ocean blue, Fluorange, fluorescent yellow, the Watermelon Bike and now Aaron’s latest the Picnic Bike.  I couldn’t be more stoked on seeing these photos.  Some amazing bikes here!  Thanks again William!  You’re collection is sweet!

Crankslides with Jim C.

So, you want to learn crankslides?  Well watch this video and learn how to do them.  Let me give you some major pointers first.

  • Ride absolutely parallel with the rail.  If you have any momentum going into the rail then chances are you will go over the bars.
  • Learn to stall the trick on a low rail first.  There’s no sense in trying to slide a trick that you can’t even hold.
  • To land on the rail just bunnyhop and turn between 45 and 90 degrees.  Put about 90% of your weight on your foot.
  • Land on the pedal and crank arm.
  • Don’t lean back.  You’ll loop out.  Just stay centered over the bike.
  • Don’t pull the brakes.  You won’t be able to adjust your positioning.
  • To ride away just go off the end of the rail and ride away.  It’s not too hard.
  • Use a sprocket guard because chances are you will break a chain if you don’t.  Odyssey MDS sprocket works the best.

Once you’ve figured them out, then take them to bigger rails, up rails, do them jump over, switch, barspin in it, 180, frontside, pop out early and do trick into and out of them.  For more crankslide footage, go check out the I Like Crankslides video from last summer.

Happy Birthday Alex Magallan!

Check out this Alex Magallan photo!  This is what he does best, when it looks like there isn’t a spot, Alex will come up with something.  It never ceases to amaze me what he comes up with.  He is celebrating his 23rd birthday today!  Happy birthday Alex!

4 Hours with Alex Magallan!

Alex Magallan is a shredder!  For proof just watch this www.blvdlights.com video!  Good stuff in only 4 hours!

Are you ready for the summer!

A week or so ago, Lee Dennis, Alex Magallan, Tom Arkus and myself headed over to Woodward East to flop in the foam pit, ride cement street spots, eat Lucky Charms, enjoy veggie burgers, play basketball, eat cupcakes and flop around some more in the foam pit. We made a street and trail riding pitstop in Pittsburgh prior to heading to camp.  If you’ve never been to Woodward, it’s so much fun and if you haven’t been there in awhile then it’s better than ever. This flipbook is a whole bunch of random shots during our trip.  Enjoy!
