Marc over at StrictlyBMX sent me a photo of this custom built up Aaron Ross Ocean Blue Funday frame with matching Odyssey forks and bars. Then add in all the other pink Odyssey parts and you get this sweet bike! Looks amazing if you ask me! Aaron Ross, Sean Sexton, Danny Hickerson and Walter Peringer‘s team just won the street/filming video contest at the Dew Tour in Chicago! The riding is so good, I’d love to tell you all about it, but you should watch the video! Big congratulations to all the guys on Team Texas! Two video posts in one day?! The new iPhone has video capabilities now and we decided to play around with it. While visiting Austin, we used it to film a bike check with Aaron Ross and his new Fluorange Funday!

Alex Magallan’s prowess on a bike is indescribable. He has tech moves up his sleeves and burliness when he rips them off. When filming ended for the Up Up and Away video, it was no surprise that he had plenty of scrap footage left available. He had the ending clip in the first scrap edit and now here’s the rest.

This is really affirming! First, thankfully John Barker is all right and walked away from this. When the Sunday OG frame was designed, we intended it to be a durable frame capable of handling all types of riding. We also intended to be as light as functionally possible without sacrificing strength, quality and durability. I’ve heard at least 4 stories of bikes falling off racks at 70 mph and the frames being completely fine. So along with surviving Mike Hoder’s test riding, we can also add surviving the Austin Chruch Gap because John kept riding this frame for a while after this. I don’t know of very many frames where you can ride away on the dropouts and then still have a frame that you can use the next day.
Now that Up, Up and Away is available in most of North America, I wanted to show some photos from our Guadalajara Mexico filming trip last June. Aaron Ross, Jake Seeley, Ian Schwartz, Kurt Rasmusson and myself all went down there to film! It was such a fun trip to Mexico, all the guys rode well and we met so many super nice people. I had no clue what this far south in Mexico would be like and it was amazing. Driving was a little rough, but once you realized you could basically just do whatever you wanted then everything was fine. Check out the gallery, it’s what I could get when my nerves weren’t frazzled from driving!
Check out Paul de Groot‘s Model C which I believe is the first international one built up! He said the bike changed a bunch since this photo had been taken. He went with the Morning 24.1 forks, but opted away from the 24umphs to try the much taller Roseanne Bars from Solid. The reason why is that he happens to be 6’6″ tall. He had this to say about the Model C, “The bike is insane!! It works exactly like you predicted, agile, lightweight, comfortable…..everything! I LOVE IT!!!” Paul owns a small BMX shop in Holland coincidentally named Paul’s which does a good job promoting the scene there. Check out his shop’s website at HERE!
