This is sort of old news around Buffalo, but I’ve parted ways (on good terms) from the Sunday SkateBMX shop that I help co-found back in 2005. Go over to RideBMX and read the interview I did with Jeff Z about moving on. I’ve been trying to settle into a new office, so look for a photo tour soon.

Jake and the Mexican Manual Pad
Well, its 2009 and I decided to gather up some unused footage from last year. The story behind this is after we did a demo in Guadalajara Mexico, Jake Seeley spent about 10 minutes riding this inadvertent manual pad. Nothing too serious, but he fired off a bunch of tricks real quick and easy. The kids gathered around to watch then Jake almost hit an old man on crutches walking through the crowd. I still don’t know how he actually made it through everyone though. The vibe was great in Mexico, we had a lot of fun and I believe the kids did too! More videos soon!
This is cool!
Brian Banghart was one of the first people to get a Sunday frame when it was first made available in the late spring of 2006. He pre-booked it right from the Sunday shop and had it shipped directly from Blackout all the way out to Colorado. Here are some photos of his bike still running today over two and half years since he first put it together. I think this is good testimony towards the strength and durability of Sunday frames. Can’t imagine a lot of the frames out there lasting this long. Check out more photos below to see Brian not taking it easy on this frame.
Jim Cielencki, Odyssey 2003
Here is my part from the first Odyssey video. It was filmed in and around the Atlanta area and my special guest is my former Kink team mate Rob Tibbs. Most of this section was filmed by Rich Hirsch from Lotek with some added footage from Brad ‘Puck’ Byrne. You’ll hear him laugh at the end. There’s too much to write about this, so just enjoy the video.
Warm Red Second Wave!
Here it is, the latest color added to our Second Wave line up! Warm Red accompanies blue, grey and Black Magic this year. The story behind this color is that when I was growing up Brian Blyther was the man. Easily the most casul and smoothest rider during that time period. Sort of like Mike Aitken today. Oh sure tricks could be learned quickly, but to learn to ride like him takes a lifetime. Well, Brian Blyther rode a warm red/coral red frame for most of his time. With that, we went and did a Blyther infuenced colorway for the Second Waves this year. Warm Red is now available along with the rest of the 2009 line. More photos below!
FUTU premier tomorrow!
If you’re in the neighborhood tomorrow then you should stop up at the Niagara Falls, Canada Hooters and see the latest BMXFU video entitled FUTU! Yeah I don’t know how these guys pulled off having their premier at a Hooters, but either way it should be interesting. Has there ever been a video premier at a Hooters? Doors are at 7 and video is at 9! Charlie has been promising some big things, so don’t miss it! Check Niagara St for more info!
Simpel Session 2009
Yes, its that time of year to make it out to wonderful Tallinn, Estonia for Simpel Session. This is one of the nicests cities that I’ve been, but unfortunately I couldn’t make it this year due to injury. Aaron Ross is there, so be on the look out. I’m not sure if he has anything planned, but if I know him he will come up with something wild. Go over to their website to view the event live as it happens this weekend. Or you could just go right here! This is one of the best events going in BMX, so you will not want to miss it!
Fundays in Canada!

Just talked to John at Ryder in Canada, he told me some good news! Aaron Ross’s new Funday frame that has just been released here in the US, was just unloaded and will ship to shops all over Canada beginning tomorrow! So, if you’ve been patiently waiting, I would have your shop call Ryder today to get your order in because the supply is limited.
Jake Seeley update!
This the view from Jiminy Peak near Jake Seeley‘s hometown. On Tuesday, I went out there to go snowboarding with him. Check out more pics and see what else he is up to after the jump! View More
