Factory Tour!
I’ve been visiting the factories we use in Taiwan for a few days now and the trip has been good. Here’s a spy shot of the Wave downtube and headtube from our complete bike frames. We checked out the factory and it looked amazing. Even got to see the complete Model C frames being welded up. Also, we visited the aftermarket frame factory which is working on the new Wave 3, Funday 2 and some potential other ideas. I’ll write up a more detailed story when I get back into the USA. Going to leave you with one note, I realized on this trip that all hollow dropouts are not equal. Just because it’s hollow doesn’t mean it’s the same as a Sunday hollow dropout.

Funday PRO testing!
On Saturday, I went down to Austin to check out some of the Sunday complete samples that had arrived at the office. The day went smoothly, but then everyone wanted to go to Ramp Ranch to ride. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my bike due to it being a short trip. Well, since I’m really excited about the new bikes especially the Funday PRO, I decided to just ride that bike at the skatepark. I’ll be honest and say that I felt shaky at first, due to it having different bars than I’m use to, plus, the small 13.25 inch rear end was something I had never ridden before. But after a ninja drop, everything started to work for me. Nothing crazy went down, but we did get the clip above. Check out the other one after the jump. Not bad for a $655 bike! Gary Young on ESPN!
Gary Young has this amazing photo of him riding a pool in Riverside, CA over on ESPN today. Go there and check out the whole story of this pool. Gary hurt his ankle recently while filming at the Tunnel in the UK. He said it was feeling better, but not quite 100%. Either way Justin Kosman shot a great photo and hopefully Gary will be full healed soon.
Aaron Ross Bike Check!
Aaron Ross has one of the brightest bikes in BMX. Go over to Ride BMX and check out his most recent color combination! If you were one of the few to get a fluorescent yellow Funday frame then consider yourself lucky. Although it won’t be the same frame, look for a fluorescent yellow Funday complete coming early this spring!
