Jim Cielencki Top 5 on Defgrip

Go over to Defgrip and check out my Top 5’s! In my opinion, its almost ‘unpossible’ to have only 5 Top 5 Simpson quotes! There’s just way too many to only have 5!

Few videos!

Rasmusson Ranch from Lotek on Vimeo.

This is Kurt Rasmusson’s home video. If you don’t know Kurt then you don’t know that he works his ass off making kitchen cabinets with his dad. He does this full time and I’m not exactly sure how he is able to be so dialed on a bike while working that much. Most people as dialed don’t work nearly as much or at all.

Karl Poynter new bike photos!

Karl Poynter's black Sunday

Karl Poynter

Sunday has gone black! Here is a photo of Karl Poynter’s new set up. He’s been riding the same blue prototype set up for quite awhile, so we got him one of the Black Magic frames to try something different.

The funny thing is Sunday went from all wild colors to now all black. On the UK trip we just finished up, everyone was riding a black frame except for Aaron Ross’s Funday frame. Thought it was ironic, but its real good to know that we can change it up and the product is still the same. Look for Karl Poynter colorway soon!

Sunday UK trip! Update

Mike Taylor

Mike Taylor Grinding up a rail.

Well, we are on the final leg of the trip and we ended up in Portsmouth. After a night of playing pool against Nottingham’s finest ladies, we woke up to the raindrops as seen in the photo. Which leaves me time to bring you this update of our trip. As you know it is raining, but you don’t know is we are right across the street from the Law Court tranny walls. Damn! Oh well, there is a chance that it will stop raining by 1pm. Either way we have a back up plan which involves riding in tunnels or under a bridge.

Sunday UK Trip!

Aaron Ross, Ian Schwartz, Joe Cox, Chris Russell and Mike Taylor along with myself are over in the UK right now doing a trip for IMG and filming for the Sunday video while dodging rain drops. Look for video clips from Filmer Bill in the video and photos in an upcoming RideUK article. Here are a collection of photos from the trip so far. We end it tomorrow and I’ll post some more then!

Kurt Rasmusson Firsts!

Kurt Rasmusson has a Firsts over on BMXonline, so go there and check it out. The main photo shot during a trip to Barcelona, isn’t just a Ruben wallride, its like a 270 to Ruben off the wedge on the right. It didn’t seem like you could make it far enough to do the trick safely, but if you know Kurt then you know he did it first try. And this photo was taken just moments after trying chocolate cake mixed in salsa. Good times! On a side note, there was a nude beach right behind us as Jeff Z shot the photo.

Aaron Ross Bikes?

Alex Magallan's bike

Aaron Ross' bike

The first photo is from Alex Magallan‘s bike check on BMXonline. Alex has been helping test out the Funday frame. The next photo is from Odyssey’s Dailyword, this is Aaron Ross‘s race bike all built up and ready to take people out in a corner. Is there a Sunday Race frame coming? A trail frame atleast? Anyone as excited as I am to watch BMX in the Olympics tonight? Look for the Funday frame coming late fall!

Jim Cielencki update!

Jim C: Car Jumpin'

Not sure if everyone remembers, but I had my ankle scoped back in early April. The surgery went fine, the crutches were toleratable, but the physical therapy took way too long. My doctor said it could be 6 months and I didn’t believe him, but he was right. So, after 4.5 months of not really being able to ride, my ankles are feeling healthy enough to start riding at a normal level. So to celebrate I jumped my car for my street’s block party! Went too fast and landed flat way past the car. This was just a few moments before the rain began to pour down on the party.

Its perfect timing being healthy again, the Sunday video is going strong. Ian Schwartz, Alex Magallan and Jake Seeley are in and around Ohio and Pennsylvania right now filming. Aaron Ross, Ian Schwartz and myself are meeting up with Mike Taylor and Joe Cox in the UK next week. And even cooler is that my shoe is officially out from Beloe Footwear. Check the photo and their website for more info. Its going to be a busy fall from new frames, new riders to videos and hockey season. I can’t wait!

Aaron Ross Bike Check!!!!!

The site has been screwy for the past few days, so I haven’t been able to update you. The latest news is Aaron Ross has a bike check and a mini interview about it over on BMXonline. There’s a ton of photos and you get to see the his actually setup with fluorescent yellow Odyssey Director forks and without the front brakes. Can you guess what trick he was trying to learn with front brakes?

Mike Taylor Web Video

I believe Mike Taylor is fully recovered from his knee surgery last year especially after watching this web video! I’m pretty sure this was edited by Joe Cox, too.

Sunday! making kids fat!

Sundae Winner

Sunday Sundae

A few weeks ago, we had a contest on the site where we gave away an ice cream sundae similar to the one in Aaron Ross’s first Sunday ad. Here is what our winner Kyle Ruschell had to say about eating all that ice cream.

Heres some pictures. We had to go to Target to buy the big bowl for $5. It was 4 Everybody sizes, and it ended up being just over $30 haha. I got a 3 friends to help me with it, and we barely put a dent in it. It was 1/4 chocolate, 1/4 cookie batter, 1/4 cheesecake, and 1/4 mint ice creams. It was covered in chocolate sauce, m&ms, rainbow sprinkles, grahm cracker crumbs, and whipped cream. Its in my freezer right now, Ill finish it off someday. Thanks again Jim!
