Thank you Kurt!

Sunday Bikes wants to thank Kurt Rasmusson for the time he’s spent riding for us.  He recently decided to leave the team to concentrate on other endeavors. Kurt came on the team during the filming of his super epic Left/Right video part which you should go watch again.  He possesses an infectious confidence that is inspiring to everyone around him.  He made his part from our first video, Up, Up and Away seem so effortless.  He still rides all the time. My funny memory of him was how he was our Spanish translator during trips to Guadalajara and Barcelona because nobody knew a single word of Spanish.  Not to mention he quickly became our tour guide in Barcelona.  Thank you, Kurt and good luck.

Tom Davis on UK Sunday Team!

Tom Davis has been riding for Sunday in the UK through IMG Distribution for a few months now.  With the help of Will Evans, we are introducing him to you in this Welcome to the UK Sunday Team video!  Tom’s been working super hard lately, filming and shooting photos, so be on the look out for more from him.  Just a warning!   Keep up the shredding Tom and welcome to the team!

Lee Dennis in Barcelona!

Lee Dennis destroys and this video is proof!  Primo took Lee over to Barcelona for a few weeks back in April and they filmed this video.  You’re going to like this!

Reed Stark at Lake Owen!

Reed Stark spent some time at Lake Owen this summer and filmed this edit.  Super good lines, clean style and the ability to make it all look easy is a good way to describe this video. This was filmed and edited by the super creative Arik Elstran.

Crankslides with Jim C.

So, you want to learn crankslides?  Well watch this video and learn how to do them.  Let me give you some major pointers first.

  • Ride absolutely parallel with the rail.  If you have any momentum going into the rail then chances are you will go over the bars.
  • Learn to stall the trick on a low rail first.  There’s no sense in trying to slide a trick that you can’t even hold.
  • To land on the rail just bunnyhop and turn between 45 and 90 degrees.  Put about 90% of your weight on your foot.
  • Land on the pedal and crank arm.
  • Don’t lean back.  You’ll loop out.  Just stay centered over the bike.
  • Don’t pull the brakes.  You won’t be able to adjust your positioning.
  • To ride away just go off the end of the rail and ride away.  It’s not too hard.
  • Use a sprocket guard because chances are you will break a chain if you don’t.  Odyssey MDS sprocket works the best.

Once you’ve figured them out, then take them to bigger rails, up rails, do them jump over, switch, barspin in it, 180, frontside, pop out early and do trick into and out of them.  For more crankslide footage, go check out the I Like Crankslides video from last summer.

Gary Young cruising the X-Games Course!

Ride BMX just posted some footage of Gary Young cruising around the new X-Games course!  Place looks insane especially since it’s concrete, built on Styrofoam and only up for about 2 weeks.  For a live video feed of the X-Games park course check out this link.

Tammy’s Sunday Party!

Tammy has been on fire lately!  He’s all healed up from knee surgery and shredding!  Wildness all around in this video!  My favorite clips are the run out with the bike down the double set and his amazing tables.  Tammy’s going to be psyched when I tell him that this is the 666th post on our site!  Check out some recent of Forecaster bike right HERE.

Sunday Factory Test Pilots!

Sunday has taken some big steps in 2010, we introduced our Sunday Funday complete bike line.  The goal was to make the most complete completes that have functional modern geometry featuring low bb heights and a short 13.25″ rear end length.  This makes the bikes easily adaptable and rideable right out of the box.  Our Odyssey parts packages are nearly unbeatable especially with the good prices.  We asked Alex Magallan, Jake Seeley and Eric Lichtenberger to help us show that the bikes were easily adaptable and rideable right away.  Like we said, the most complete completes!
